​​​​​The mission of Idaho National Laboratory's Clean Energy &Transportation is to provide innovative regional leadership that encourages transition to clean renewable energy, establishes economic competitiveness, enables informed regulation, improves educational opportunities, and promotes environmental health.

To do this, we engage in a myriad of programs and activities, all striving to meet the following goals:

  •  Improve energy efficiency
  •  Advance options for diverse energy resources
  •  Accelerate development and deployment of new transportation technologies
  •  Support environmentally responsible use of do​mestic fossil fuels
  •  Support international efforts to address global climate change
  •  Advance academic partnerships.
